Roger Mann

The Roger Mann Band

Roger Mann

With an impressive musical career spanning over 35 years, Roger Mann is distinguished among the music industry’s elite with his mind-blowing guitar playing and soothing vocals.  From performing to recording to songwriting, Roger’s talents have been recognized through his performances with Quebec stars Nanette Workman, Kim Richardson, Claude Dubois, Breen Leboeuf, Mario Saint-Amand and many others.

After starting out in music playing acoustic guitar and drums at a very young age, Roger quickly began focusing entirely on electric guitar.  However, during his university years, he began to expand his interests to include banjo, mandolin and bass guitar.  Now, songwriting has become his driving force and many of his songs have been recorded by Kim Richardson.  Roger also features various originals in his latest project The Roger Mann Band.

A versatile musician adapting to many styles, Roger has performed with various bands and local groups, playing both corporate and extensive stage shows.  He has opened up for James Brown, toured with Breen Leboeuf and Nanette Workman in the Mississippi Queen Show and performed with Soul City, Generation Motown and Le Grand Boulevard to name a few.  He is also featured as the lead guitarist in the hit production “Esquire Show Bar” which has played sold-out shows spanning over the past few years at the Corona Theatre in Montreal.  Most recently Roger has been touring with Mario Saint-Amand and Breen Leboeuf in the Gerry Boulet (Offenbach) Tribute Show following the release of the movie “Gerry” this past summer.

In addition to performing with the stars, Roger’s phenomenal guitar and singing talents are now fully featured in his self titled group, The Roger Mann Band.  His power trio showcases a uniquely interpreted repertoire of funk/blues/rock/soul/R&B songs made popular by artists such as Eric Clapton, Steely Dan, James Brown, Doobie Brothers, George Benson, Stevie Wonder and many others.  Roger’s masterful renditions are so distinct his audiences are left mesmerized each and every time.  The band also features many of Roger’s prolific original creations.  To no surprise The Roger Mann Band is becoming known for selling-out.

Over the years, Roger’s career has taken him on a journey where he has graced the stages of the Governor General Awards Ball in Ottawa to Blues sur Seine in France and everything in between including the Plains of Abraham in Quebec City, Montreal International Jazz Festival, Place des Arts and Mont-Tremblant Blues Festival to name a few.

Truly a “Music Mann”, Roger’s talent in music is equal to his passion in playing it.  Quite simply he astonishes his audiences, large or small, with his mind-blowing guitar playing and soothing vocals.  He is guaranteed to impress!
